Requital

The game begins with you now free from slavery and able to do as you wish - within limits. It’s here, when starting the game, that you notice its first drawback; the character customisation is very limited. Wolfhound’s appearance, background, race and class are all fixed, so you must be a human warrior with long hair and a beard to play - there is no choice about it.
You can’t be a mage specialising in magic or a ranger preferring ranged combat. The only choice you get is how your extra points (which vary in number according to the difficulty level) are distributed over your four attributes - Speed, Dexterity, Strength and Constitution. These attributes are fairly commonplace amongst RPGs, with higher strength leading to more powerful attacks and a higher constitution to an increase in the amount of punishment Wolfhound can take before dieing. The good side to this lack of customisation however is that when you’ve finished setting your attributes you can immediately begin to play.
